Irish love to my friend in need, Day #4

Today the weather is gloomy, cloudy, very autumnal. I love sun so never feel quite right when it clouds over. Yesterday I emailed my best friend to ask her to meet for lunch at our favorite restaurant. It is a place that gives all of its profits to charity. ALl of the waiters are volunteers. THey have an incredible book shop attached. I woke up not feeling so great but decided to go anyway. I brought her a shamrock Christmas tree ornament to remind her of a trip she and her family took this summer to Ireland. Life is not easy for her these days so it was a little pick me up. As I was telling her about 29gifts I looked across the street to see that my car was ticketed for parking in a one hour zone too long. That was quite disheartening. However, we decided I would turn it into a gift. So, I came home wrote the check for a ridiculous amount of money ($42...I do not have) and attached a sticky note that said to whomever opens this, I hope you have a glorious morning! I was planning on enclosing morning glory seeds. THen thought this is going to a government agency, they will probably think it is anthrax or something so...took the seeds out but left the note.

I am having soo much fun doing this.

You have a wonderful attitude-- turning paying a parking ticket into giving a gift! That nice note will probably brighten someone's day.

Kudos to you!!! I love how you turned a nasty parking ticket into a gift. That was a brilliant idea ;-)
