There are days when you just cannot think of what to do give...and then something hits you in the face!
Day 19 - My husband and I were out to see a potential agent. On our way home a man was standing at the one set of traffic lights collecting money for a home. I felt an excitement to put in a donation, and really felt blessed after doing that. In our country (South Africa), there are very few traffic lights where you don't find someone asking for money...many times it's individuals that cannot find employment, or beggars that unfortunately use the assistance to buy alcohol or drugs, and then there are 'homes' (some for children and some for under privileged families) that send theor people with collection boxes asking for assistance. It is near impossible to help every person you pass, but on Friday I felt an excitement within me, and I knew that was my 'special' gift for the day.
Day 20 - In some of our super markets the owners have set up boxes at the check out points where the shoppers can get rid of loose change (this gets split up every now and again amongst the staff). Every now and again I will put some coins in for the workers, but yesterday I put in a donation knowing that was my 'special' give for the day. It has definitely made such a difference giving...not just for the sake of giving, but giving because I want to make a difference in this world.
Day 21 - Today I emailed my friend ML a special email about being a special lady...I don't know ML personally, but I know she has got to be the most wonderful lady as she is a part of the 29-Day Gift Challenge family...and only special people join such a special Challenge.
