The Bible says that Charity begins at home. At least, I think it does. I've never actually read the Bible. I'm religious, but it just seems like a lot of effort :) This year I have decided to give a gift a day for the entire year. My biggest hurdle in this is to really think about what giving is. What does it mean to really give a gift? It's about more than buying something for someone else, although I am sure many gifts will involve buying something or giving a donation to someone.
So this morning I made breakfast for my family. It really doesn't seem like much, but I take a lot of pride in showing my family I care about them by caring for them. I look forward to sharing this journey with you and am considering going forward and creating my own blog in conjunction with this one.

Actions often mean more than words -- though words are important too. I know your family loved the breakfast.
A breakfast made with love is perfect...showing your family you love and care about them is the greatest gift! Good luck on the blog!
Great beginnings for a fabulous journey! Welcome...
