June In A Nutshell

This month has been wonderful. I've had many writing successes. My novel, Beautiful Wreck, made it to the semi-finals in Amazon's novel 2009 Breakthrough Novel Contest. There were 10,000 entries. Mine made it to the top ten before being knocked out. I guess you could say it's kind of like being in the last five couples on Dancing With The Stars. ;) This has generated some interest from publishers. My agent is working her tail off. I received an invitation to speak in the month of August on Sea Island.

life has been good. I'm now reading Stretching Lessons by Sue Bender, I'm learning to ease into life, rather than struggle. I'm also learning to embrace my need to struggle. All good stuff.

I'm currently teaching a journaling class at a women's homeless shelter. This is enlightening and empowering. Moving forward is what life is about. Thanks to Cami for being such a wonderful mentor.
