29-Day Giving Challenge

I couldn't think of a way to give today until I was making out my bills. I had forgotten that I had two 2009 calendars from World Vision that I could send to the two children we sponsor. One child lives in El Salvador and the other lives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We also sponsor a child in Brazil through Christian Childrens fund. We've been doing this for years and I used to write them all quite regularly but as things became chaotic in our lives I have done this less and less. In fact, I can't remember when the last time was that I wrote them a letter or sent them pictures or a little gift. So, in addition to paying for postage so the calendars can be sent on their way to two of our sponsored children, I am going to find the time to sit down and write them each a letter. The letters won't get there before Christmas but whenever they do I hope that it brightens their day a bit. I recently received a picture of the little girl from Brazil we sponsor and it amazed me how much she had grown since her previous picture. The first picture we got of her was when she was 3 or 4 and now she is becoming a beautiful young lady. It made my day to receive that picture and I have it framed and sitting on a shelf. I would love to one day visit them and their families. Who knows-anything is possible to God.
