29-Day Giving Challenge

It is officially moving day and I am already exhausted but very excited to be settled tonight in my new home. Even through all the chaos of packing up and cleaning, I have been able to both give and receive this past weekend.

On Saturday, I helped my roommate unpack all her stuff and set up our new kitchen. In return - a jamba juice treat on a hot day from a good friend checking out our new place.

Sunday, I went to dinner with a neighbor and my gift to him was good conversation. He paid. This dinner was actually months in the making and long before I started participating in this challenge, he mentioned wanting to take me out to dinner. He found out I wasn't working and knew money was tight. The only thing he requested was for me to tell others about his kindness so that they might do the same for someone they know who is struggling. It was a very enjoyable meal and a much needed break from cleaning!

new beginnings are exciting, aren't they? i wish you many blessings in your new home. it's interesting (and encouraging) to hear of other people outside of our little group who are also focused on giving. Hugs, Dawn
