29-Day Giving Challenge

My First Day in the 29 Day Giving Challenge

Today was my first try to the 29 day challenge, and, I admit, I was feeling far from generous this morning. I am in the middle of an MS flare up and was not looking forward to the day ahead. As I dragged myself downstairs to retrieve my daughter's favorite pair of jeans from the dryer yet again, I noticed a strange glint on the ground. Bending down, I noticed it was my high school class ring which my eleven year old daughter, Leah, had admired in the past. I'm not sure how it found its way to my basement floor but I knew what it meant. I brought the ring upstairs and gave it to Leah. At first, she thought I meant for the day. Her eyes lit up so bright when I told her she could have it "for keeps". The smile and hug I received from her this morning was far more priceless than the ring that had been buried in my jewelery box for twenty one years! Day one has been a success!

Lucky Leah, what a great surprise gift. Doesn't it make you realize how much we have to share?
