29-Day Giving Challenge

It was a busy but very pleasant day.

This morning, I participated in my community's National Day of Service project, helping to thoroughly clean the youth center and assemble a new large storage unit.  There were similar projects throughout our very small unicorporated town, and then we all met at the Community center for a soup lunch.  It was very uplifting.

We are going to Portland, Oregon tomorrow to spend some time with our oldest son, daugher in law and two grandkids. So I  spent sometime gathering all the stuff I needed to take with us to do a special project with the kids and made some lasagna to take with us also.

I also gave my dog a bath as she will be staying with my neighbor while we are gone.   I do pay the neighbor a little for taking care of the dog, but I am sure she does not charge me what she charges her other clients (she runs a dog daycare and kennel free boarding business).  She loves dogs and treats them so special! Indi loves going there.  This neighbor mentioned to me that she has been wanting to try 8:00 Coffee but has not been able to find it. So I searched on line and found where they sell it in our area and went and bought her a package which I will give her tomorrow when I take the dog down.

I probably will not be able to post again until Tuesday evening -- so have a wonderful Sunday and a great start to your week.
