Odd Gift

My step dad (my parents are in the process of getting divorced) wants me to change my last name for my step brothers benefit. My brother is 17years old and about to start college and be out there all on his own. I have already told him that not matter what happens with our parents that he is my brother and that I will always be there for him. I am hoping he comes out to college in Boulder.

My step dad and I have never really seen eye to eye (he's a dutch nuclear physicist) so you can imagine what that's like! But I think it would mean something to my brother to see his last name with my name. I think it would also be nice to my step dad since he pretty much raised me. The emotions of it all are just so conflicting with them splitting.

So I will change my last name, until I get married, to van Os for my step dad and my step brother..........=)
