On a day of giving~

As a Mom of two twenty something girls and wife of 24 years, this one has come to terms to live by~
One would expect Mom to bake, cook, clean and launder.
One would expect Mom to listen, unconditionally and open a bottle of wine and shoot the breeze.
One would expect to be held to critical standards, as this turn about is fair play.
One would expect to dry tears, smear antibiotic salve over newly opened skin even at their ages.
One would expect somethings are left to not know, be there when there are.
One would know when to hang in there, let it go, leave it where it lays and pick it up when necessary
One would know after all of this time there will be more of the same and less of the usual.
One would know ever MOMent is to be cherished, appreciated and given to, to take in and become breathless over.
This ONE is thankful for all of the opportunities I've been tested over, passed over for, included in and be apart of.
Everyday is a kids' day, no matter the age I am or will become.
Making someones' DAY, anyway possible~
Still young at heart and loving everyday I continue to breathe
