29-Day Giving Challenge

One thing I notice about giving mindfully is that I notice others giving more often that I used to. My husband, for example, just naturally loves to do things for people. We are planning a trip and he made a compendium of apartments we looked at to rent and sent it to the AAA travel agent we worked with and who had been very helpful. I am aware of and appreciate more what others do on a daily basis. A lot of my gifts have been to friends who are going through tough times--moving, illness, family issues. Being more consciously aware of the stuff others are dealing with makes me so grateful for my own life--and that I wouldn't trade my problems for anyone else's!

Gratitude is a gift too, isn't it? And it sounds like you have a wonderful fella there who communicates in the language of action, creating good things all around him. How lovely!
