Sheesh - i'm getting worse instead of better - it's been a ragged week! my husband spent a couple of nights at the VA, talked him into going to the ER while we were there last thursday, and his O2 level was way down, plus he had bronchitis and was coughing up green crud [he'd been telling me it was yellow to clear, but told dr it was green - so they kept him a couple of days - but he's back home and feeling better so it was worth it - he has severe COPD so his lungs don't have much reserve when something goes wrong. we had a little chat about being honest about his symptoms - probably won't help much but oh well, that's a husband for you!! let's see, i don't remember when my last post was, but Thurs i drove to leavenworth to the VA in the rain - nasty day to drive - for his appt, got some groceries for the food pantry, friday i did the football game [miserably cold/damp and i was really tired] bought 'munchies' after the game for the friends who took me with them to the game. saturday i drove to leavenworth again to bring my husband home, found some special 'hot sauce' for a good friend, Sunday i made a big batch of spaghetti sauce for our church's supper - we do a supper and everyone brings stuff for the food pantry for halloween - used to 'trick or treat' for the food pantry but now we just bring it in and eat together! monday i shared most of the leftover sauce w/ my young friend on the low-sodium diet - i never add salt because we have several who don't need it at church [i spice it up enough that it really isn't necessary], and his favorite food is spaghetti!!! today i gave a friend a jar of honey, her daughter has the flu and a very sore throat and she didn't have any in the house. my gift to me today was a good sleep - felt rested for first time since last thursday - having MS i wear out quicker than normal and my bounce back is more than a little flattened, hehehe. tonite i made chili [a favorite of his] for my husband w/ the leftover spaghetti sauce for supper - he was pleased! oh, one of my gives last week wasn't quite a 'gift' but a friend asked me if i had any silver eagles, she gives them to great-nieces and nephews for their first Christmas and couldn't find any - she knows i give them for graduation gifts as well as baby/wedding/special occasion gifts and was getting desperate - i let her have them for what they cost me, and i buy enough to get a discount on them so she did get them cheaper than she could've otherwise - silver has gone up and they're not as reasonable a gift as they used to be, but still better than just giving money i think, and i like coins - i've gotten several of my nephews and niece started on coin collections of their own!! hope you have all had a good giving week!!!
