Today was pretty uneventful, giving-wise. I bussed a bunch at the coffee shop (though I also got a free coffee, so it evens out), and I noticed that's becoming second nature - like so many things have over the past year and bit. Today was garbage day, and I put the bin back behind the house. My upstairs neighbour and I share a composting bin (we have municipal composting - how cool is that?), but I hadn't put anything in today... so it was sort of a gift, but not really - I mean, she puts the bin out every week. (In order to use it, you have to use special (and expensive) compostable bags, and I ran out a couple of weeks ago.
Tonight, for good measure, I clicked on most of the Animal Rescue (etc) sites.
This morning, I had a meeting and discovered I wouldn't have any work for one client today; a few hours later, another client emailed to see if I could help her for a few hours. So that was great synchronicity (and also a fun project).
I hope you all had wonderful Wednesdays. Cheers!

Comment by Dawn wwt on January 16, 2013 at 8:12pm i love that you have municipal composting! my son visited the U of BC Victoria campus for an interview and he was impressed, said that it was essentially a 'closed system' (recycling, composting, growing veggies for the cafeteria etc). hopefully these things will go viral!
i'm so glad that your surprise work turned out to be fun as well...can't beat that with a stick :o) have a good night and sweet dreams, my friend. Hugs, Dawn XOXO
