B is an instructor for a call center, teaching the people who answer the phone when you call a 1-800 number for some miracle wrinkle/ED/sleep/energy product you hear on the radio with a "risk free trial." Because he is Mr. Congeniality, at the end of the week, on "test day," he brings homemade treats for them, and also for his entire workplace on holidays. (That's about 150 people!) So, for the last 2 days, he's been making chocolate candies, cupcakes, sugar cookies (all with a Valentine's Day theme!) And save the gay jokes - I've heard it before! :-P Anyway, so tonight I am here (B's house, on his computer) to watch Lost. My gift was to make a mishmash cookie bar treat I invented last weekend, for him to bring to work. I won't even get a single bite. All for the cause! :-) So that's my gift to others.

A gift I received was a breakthrough with my mother. I will explain this in detail some other time (I hate this laptop keyboard!) but suffice it to say she finally gets it. Here's hoping that it sticks.
Hmmm... What else? I found out that my sleep study is going to cost me $1000 out of pocket, but where there's a will, there's a way. I feel like it's something I really need to do. So I will press on.
Sorry this is short. Happy Tuesday!
ADDENDUM
I forgot to add 2 other things I received:
1) Monte has gone on strike and will no longer eat my free cat food (which I got with my mom's great coupons), so I am looking for something else he'll like. Figured I'd try what we carry at work. My coworker pulled some strings and got me on the Hill's staff feeding program, though it was already closed for the quarter. I have new (20% off cost) food coming tomorrow. :-) Mmmmm. Happy kitties!
2) Damnit. I can't remember the second thing. I will be back for a third edit!
ADDENDUM #2
OK, I remember the second thing now! I got out of work 45 minutes early today 'cause it was slow. I work very long days - 10-11 hours shifts, depending on the day, with a half day on Fridays. I close almost every night. So to get out early tonight, and still have a few minutes of daylight was awesome!
OK, to bed I go! Sweet dreams, my little gifters!
