Round 2- Self give, The CHI

I just finished my self give round. It was a nice way to start the new year but at times it felt like a chore. I tend to lapse into doing things for others and it opened my eyes that I need to focus a little more on self care. I focused my gives on simple things that made time for myself but I did give in to one big give I had been resisting. My CHI straightening iron broke in early December and it's the only thing that really helps me deal with my thick, unruly, wavy hair. It is the second one I've had that broke right after the warranty expired and I decided that I WASN"T going to spend the $100 when I was trying to use my money for gifts for others. I bought an inexpensive iron that had good reviews. Only problem was it didn't work worth a darn on my crazy hair! I was spending more time and it was making me late for work,etc. I wish that I didn't care what my hair looks like but I do. So I broke down and bought myself a new CHI that works even better than my old one. I hope to make peace one day with my wavy hair but until then I love the CHI!
