Well for day 24 I stayed home sick in bed. I had plans and things to do but nothing got done. I slept until 12:35pm and got up and went back to bed at 1:15pm and slept till 5:30pm. So I guess my gift yesterday was sleep for myself.
Today is Day 25 and I don't feel much better than yesterday but I HAD to get some stuff done today. I got out and got my nails done. On the way I made a point to wave at every driver I passed by. I grew up in such a small town in Texas that my graduating class was 25 people. Back then we waved at everyone we passed and people waved back. I was amazed to see that a few people waved back & even smiled. I got a gift from the nail lady she took $5 off my nails today which is great because we are so tight on money. My nails are so bad anymore I can't go without having them done.
Then I broke my #1 rule...I went to Wal-Mart on a Saturday. Not just any Saturday but my stupid butt went on the Saturday before the Super Bowl. OMG it was horrible!! People were just stopping in the middle of the aisles to talk not caring that no one else can get down the aisle. Have I mentioned I hate Wal-Mart on Saturdays? Well I did manage to help a lady in her wheelchair while I was in there. I got something off the shelf for her. Then I made a point to smile at at least 5 people but I actually lost count lol. When I got in the checkout line as luck would have it naturally I picked the wrong one. There was someone checking out and a lady in front of me. We waited forever and so I noticed the cashier was MIA so I asked the lady in front of me where the cashier was. She told me they were trying to get a price check on a microwave for those other people. She & I waited a few more minutes and we finally decided they went to Siberia to get the price check so together we made the decision to abandon that line and find another. We laughed and left the line. I found a good line and got checked out and so did the other lady. We walked out side by side and when we looked over at the line we came from - those people were still there waiting on their price check. We made a smart move.
On my way home I stopped on the access road and let a car pull out of McDonald's onto the access road. I came home and posted some stuff on the For Sale in Hale County site on facebook and got rid of a computer monitor. My son wound up selling his telescope on there. I cooked dinner & baked a cake and now I've spent most of my evening with a stomach virus. The good thing for me is that I don't have to go to work till the afternoon shift tomorrow, so hopefully whatever I've got will pass by then.

Comment by Dawn wwt on February 5, 2012 at 6:01am bless your heart! Saturday at Walmart is awful under any circumstances but especially when you're not feeling well. i really think Walmart is a social club first and a store second. at least that's how it is here in Woodville. i hope your virus is gone by the time you have to go to work. Hugs, Dawn
Well, i certainly hope you are better today...I don't know how you manage to do what you do! Take care, Little Lady! Hugs...
