29-Day Giving Challenge

Hi all,

I've been noticing how many shopkeepers, cashiers and other retail workers have seemed really stressed and overworked with the holidays and all. I'm sure they're happy to have jobs but still it must be exhausting to deal with the crowds of shoppers all day. Lately when I go in to shop, I take a moment to ask them "How are you doing?" and they seem really touched that someone actually cares how THEY are doing. And they usually stop for a moment and they smile. I think it makes a big difference to just look in someone's eyes, connect with them compassionately and ask "How are you doing?"

Thanks, this is a great idea and I will try to do more of it They get so little appreciation and I'm sure it makes their day when someone notices or thanks them or acknowledges them as a person.
