Smithwick's is a truth serum evidently

My husband and I share a mutual friend who is going through a difficult break-up. The break-up couldn't come at a more challenging time--baby on the way, child support for first family, financial issues and so on. We are going through a rough time as well, but if there's one thing we're good at doing is making people feel cared for and loved. We opened our doors to him and counseled him for most of the night as did a six-pack of Smithwick's. The whole while, our kids were entertaining us---who needs t.v.? Our friend stopped mid-thought and said, "You have the life everyone truly wants. You two have such love between you and your children are just amazing!" The room suddenly filled with such a magnificent sense of love and warmth ---everything we've ever hoped for was standing right in front of us. I mean, isn't that the reason we are all experiencing this recession- to bring us back to the reality of what's most important?
