Wow! I can't believe I bowed out of posting and visiting this site for over 7 months. what a difference a year makes. In late 2009 or early 2010 I found this wonderful site and blogged religously and have many friends (you know who you are) and had an awesome time giving and seeing all the wonderful stories people post.
About mid- year last year, after a few cycles of giving and having a blast, I found myself expecting things to happen (like landing a new job, etc) because I was giving and it was then that I decided to check out so I can allow to give freely and not document or count it and just take a break. Even thought I know I gave because I love to give and I love to touch the human spirit, i kept reading about so many people's new jobs and blessings and felt like I was "stuck" and nothing was happening for me so I decided to take a break from this site.
Once I did that and stopped focusing on being distracted by receiving, I cannot even count the blessings that have come my way. A new job, paying double my last salary just fell into my laps. This job offers me so much travel opportunity and everything is such a blessing...I am surrounded by love and happiness and I have always intended to return - SO HERE I AM!! Ready to share again.
DAY ONE >
A friend of mine most her 18 year old son a year ago and has been struggling emotionally. She also just lost her job in in 2010 and I feel like her life is falling apart and he has a lot of funeral bills, etc. Although I wanted to help her, I ws unemployed and not in a position to do so......just this week, her family started a scholarship at his high school in him memory and it was funded by donations from friends and family - each giving 5-10 dollars. Since I am now blessed with a paycheck, I gladly reached for my checkbook and slipped a little something extra in the fund.
I was so touched, I guess she must have looked at all the checks because she called me today very emotional and thankfu and once again I felt god's blessings upon her and me.
Goodnite all and blessings all day...
