Wow, I didn't realize it's been so long since my last post here!
I've been giving all the time and still tell people about this group all the time also. There have been so many gifts - every single day, from simple emails and phone calls to friends to brighten their days, surprise cards sent out, ATCs left for people to find, little tags with positive messages left and given out, gifts sent to friends to surprise them, coupons left in the store for others to find, donations to food drives, books for schools and libraries, clothing and household goods donated to people in need. Thank you notes sent to people who have done extra things to help or just to thank them for doing their jobs. I've made some artwork for people and I've donated journals to a couple of shelters. I helped take inventory at a store, and helped raise funds for a couple of nonprofit organizations.
I happened to send a copy of Cami's book to my brother's girlfriend for Christmas, not knowing that she has been wanting to get the book! She has MS and is a top fundraiser for the organization every year. I'm so glad that she was excited about getting the book! I've sent copies to a couple of other friends also. Now I need to get another copy for myself and I'll also pick up an extra to have on hand to give to someone else.
As always, I'm giving out candy canes again. I love doing this! I just stocked up on a bunch more so I will be able to give them out through January. I had surgery 6 weeks ago so haven't been able to get out as much as usual, but I have been able to give out several dozen candy canes in the past couple of weeks! I give them to cashiers and clerks in stores and the post office, I give them to random people who cross my path. I've given them to a few children and a couple of them were so cute and so grateful, you would have thought I gave them a million dollars! That is so much fun!
I gave some of my notecards that I create to a couple of friends and I did some special artwork and gave it to my doctor. He was so surprised and grateful he gave me a big hug and even sent me a thank you note! He has it in the office so everyone can see it and they said they get compliments on it everyday! How cool is that?
I'm making up some special tags and magnets with positive messages on them. I'll be giving them out and leaving them in places for people to find. And, I'm making up some postcards that I'll be sending out as random gifts to friends and members of online groups I belong to.
As always, I hope everyone who happens to take time to read this has an awesome giving day! I love seeing what others are doing and am so happy to keep giving!
