29-Day Giving Challenge

I gave kleenex to a co worker that was blowing his nose with paper towels. I purchased them on my break and kept the receipt. I gave candy to more of my co-workers and the big pac of tic tacs to my little brother. On Christmas, I put the three extra dollars I found in my pocket in the collection plate. I sent my friend a silly picture of me with Crazy hair. I also researched the reuse a shoe program to see where i can donate my used sneakers. Because I am rough on my sneakers, I don't think other people would be able to wear them. This experience has changed my life. I no longer feel as if walking is the key to my happiness, not the only one anyway.I would love to practice more outdoors to really stretch myself as Cami does in her book, but I live in Connecticut and the weather right now is frigid! I want more. I want more than just a career and I want a life greater than cerebral palsy care. I don't want to have the perfect career to be satisfied with my life. I don't want to walk by myself to be happy with myself. I choose (mostly? I think?) to be happy right now, because why wait? Why torture myself?

Why torture ourselves?? Good question. Still, I know I find myself doing it sometimes too ... negativity gets to me, but I am going to try to fight it just like you.

Love that you bought kleenex for that co worker; paper towels are rough on the nose!
And who wouldn't get a smile from seing a pic. of a friend with crazy hair. : )

Wow -- Just like Dorothy (from Kansas)... everything you had been searching was right there in your backyard all along.
