29-Day Giving Challenge

Well, I chose not to go the the museum today and give a tour and instead I am sitting at the Oasis Cafe. I need a little oasis in my life right now!

It is really a friendly, welcoming place and I think I might have to take the drive down here more often.

I guess I have been spending my time helping Cynthia, Allegra's mom, through her transition from married life to single mom-hood. I am trying to pass on the support that was given to me when I first began this journey last year. She is a bit frazzled which is completely understandable. I think she just needs someone to put their hand on her shoulder and tell her to breathe because it will all work out.

Last week, I took her to Costco to stock up on stuff and made her tea when we caw me home.she told me that when she gets settled, she would really like to get herself a nice, yummy, bar of soap....well-ask and you shall receive! I motioned for her to follow me to my purse and I pulled out a bar of soap I had picked up for her at Anthropologie the week the girls went to the children museum. I had originally wanted to leave it on here bathroom sink the next time we went over, but since she was asking for it, I thought she could use it now! The look on he face was priceless! Her jaw dropped open in surprise and said "really? This is for ME?"

Sometimes, all it takes is a yummy bar of soap to bring you back to yourself.

Our lawyers have finally set the mediation date for April 7 and I hope and pray we can resolve everything. It has been along road and I need it done, for all of our sakes! At the moment, I am recharging myself for the coming week. I have the appointment and then I have a dinner party to cook for on April 9th. What I have learned through all of this, is that it is not selfish to sit and do nothing.

How did your dinner go?  I'm sure it was a great success!  You're such an amazing cook!!  And how was mediation?  Did everyone survive?  I saw your mention of Oasis and immediately the calm washed over me.  You're right, it is such a lovely place.  The positive energy there is almost tangible!  I'm excited to be going tomorrow with a friend for lunch.  I'll think of you and send you positive thoughts as well!

I hope all is well for you and Mina!  I think of you often!  I've just started another 29Gifts round and have been checking in with all my sweet friends from my first days.  It's been nice to see so many are still giving and growing.  This really is a wonderful concept!  I hope life is treating you well!  Much love to both of you!  XXOO
