Happy Thanksgiving to all the U.S. readers! I hope each of you enjoyed a festive Thanksgiving Day.
My gives:
I started a new job 3 months ago and work from a "satellite" office with the entire team in Boston. There are only 2 of us here working from one room with no windows. The woman I work with is lovely; she and her husband of 5 months have no family or friends here. They moved here 2 years ago. When my family decided to host Thanksgiving, we extended an invitation to Andrea and Pat to join us. They were very grateful and we had a wonderful dinner and time together.
The gift I gave to myself (hard work and running around shopping aside!) was to buy some new knick-knacks for our house, new placemats, tablecloth and napkins for dining room table, etc. It looked super and smelled even better with fresh new candles and potpourri. What a great feeling!
Much to be thankful for, today, and always.
