29-Day Giving Challenge

The past five days have been very difficult due to my health, between the endometriosis symptoms and general chronic pain and lyme disease flaring it was hard to get out of bed the past week, so I basically lately unfourtnely have been stuck in bed at times, thankfully I love film/movies and love editing photographs I have taken. My Mom also has come down with something so I have been helping take care of her but I thought I am going to still give while all this is going on and then I thought to myself, my parents give no matter what and all parents no matter how they are feeling because they are parents each day and every day. So for the past five days I have given some gifts and even gone out a bit despite being ill and even ended receiving some beauitful blessed gifts in return.

On Saturday, January 5th I watched the wild card games with my parents, helped take care of my Mom to help give my Dad a break, I first in the morning went out for coffee with a friend who was going on a trip and leaving yesterday, so we went out so I could grab some coffee and she could grab breakfast, and I brought my Mom some of this reallly yummy, organic orange juice, her favorite type and brought it her home to her. She thanked me for thinking of her.  Later she gave me this on the chalkboard we write notes to eachother on as a family.

You are a gift!

On Sunday the 6th I helped my Mom by giving her a small gift, just a gift of some of my time and helped her with the ordering of some online shopping she needed helped with.  I also helped my Dad with things around the house, taking our dog out, taking trash out, small things like that throughout the day. On Monday I got my Mom a present for her pain a three pound bag of lavendar balt soaking salts, a a foot spray that is supposed to help a lot.

Yesterday I gave my a scarf and hat set I ordered by Muk Luk that came in the mail yesterday that is reservable and so cute on her, I also apologized to a friend and had a great converssation with a friend about the miscommunication we had we she came into town to visit. It was really nice, nice but still difficult to be very open, even with someone your close to at times, but we had a wonderful conversation last night, it was just amazing to hear her words, and to be able to share mine with her. Also yesterday since my Mom was still sick I made her lunch in bed on a tray. =)

Today I framed what of my photographs I took and printed for my Dad for his office at work, a butterfly up close, and today I wrote a letter to one of my Great Aunts and sent her some photographs as well.

At a time when it would have been very understandable for you to just pull the covers over your head (so to speak) and think only of yourself, you stepped way beyond that and gave so many thoughtful, caring gifts.  I LOVE the blackboard idea -- what a great way to share encouragement.  Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better very soon!
