Exactly four years ago today, i learned of a site called 29 Gifts, dedicated to the proposition of giving 29 gifts in as many days, and i was so intrigued by the idea i decided to join. it turned out to be such a positive experience for me that i decided to keep going after my 29 days were through. through the years i've been privileged to be a part of many different giving projects, organized by different members, and the last couple of years i have been blessed to be a part of the Welcome Wagon Team. in the process i have made many fast friends, learned a lot and, i like to think, helped to make a difference in the world one small gift, one act of kindness, one smile at a time.
i am sad that this site is coming to an end, but i refuse to dwell in negativity. this site may be ending, but we are all still alive and well and can carry on what we've learned. as Gandhi famously said "We must be the Change we wish to see in the World." i have faith in you, my fellow givers. Keep giving and keep reaping the joy! *BIG HUGS! * Dawn XOXOXOXO

I'm glad I got to "meet" you through this site. You are a wonderful lady!
Comment by M on January 30, 2013 at 7:04pm Well-said Dawn! Giving is now a permanent part of my life, thanks to this site and all of you! I promise to keep it flowing daily!
Dawn, You and all the members have made this site a true blessing and the site, the friends and the experience will be remembered and it will be missed. But I am a true believer that "when one door closes another opens" and I know in my heart that the learning, caring, growing, gifting and LOVE that has made this site such a gift to so many will continue in some form or another. You and so many, many other members have touched my life and made me a better person. As the old saying goes "When One Door Closes, Another Opens." I believe in my heart that the work and the friendships of this site will continue.
This is so well said....you said it perfectly. I will miss everything about this place and miss each and everyone of you all.
We are all connected, with or without the site, though I will miss seeing your daily posts and comments. Thank you, Dawn, for everything you've done and given, and for your friendship - I look forward to that continuing, regardless of the site! xxoo
