We've become THAT family

You know, the one on the street where the kids congregate. Along with preparing to host a couple of friends for an early dinner of his famous smoked ribs, Mike and I spent the day watching our kids along with a gaggle of the neighborhood kids run in and out of the house. It was a beautiful day and it was actually quite pleasant to peek at them out the window now and then, playing and running in the yard. I also spent some time helping Macy and her friend Emily make cupcakes which they then shared with all the boys:)

And later our adult friends showed up and we had a nice little dinner. I'm now feeling stuffed and very happy to have been blessed with such a lovely day. Most of my happiness, I'm sure, stems from the fact that I opened my home up to the brightness and joy of children at play; the good, old-fashioned kind:)

And now it seems my gift has walked right into the room. My two-year-old just walked in singing! Is there anything sweeter than that?
