29-Day Giving Challenge

After a couple of stressful weeks, I was blessed with the opportunity to spend Memorial Day weekend in Yosemite national park. This was a healing balm for my tired mind and stifled heart. I was feeling stuck. I climbed through a narrow valley of majestic granite cliffs, teeming with singing Blue Jays and soaring golden eagles. Playful squirrels scampered up and down trees and begged for some cashews from my hand. A doe and her baby deer grazed nearby and watched me with keen interest. I was warmed and tanned by the energetic and life sustaining rays of the welcoming sun. But soon I entered an ancient, green and cool forest. After several miles, a refreshing mist drifted through the air and cooled my warm skin. Around the corner, the forest opened up and there was a powerful and raging waterfall. I stood both in the warming sun and the cold rainbow colored mist of the falls, closed my eyes and felt my soul be refreshed. What a Beautiful Day!

I was moved. All the colors came out and I was touched by them. I received the moment and felt renewed.

On the way back down the path I was ready to give again.

It sounds like you had an experience worth cherishing for a lifetime. You must have felt so free and connected to nature. A gift for some reason we so rarely give ourselves.
Thank you for sharing,
Tracy

Great picture, great description of the beauty you saw, and sounds like a great experience for you.
I love how you said that on the way back down you were ready to give again ... don't let the giving well run dry; we need to stop and "fill up" sometimes.
