Dawn, I am so glad to know that you have an old soul for a child like I do. I've explained this on several occaisions but no one truly gets it. I am thrilled to know that you completely understand this concept. You understand that my son taught me more than I taught him. He understands this world so much more at 20 than I did at 30. I hope you are having a beautiful Thanksgiving.
What a beautiful person you seem to be - I wish you were my next door neighbor, thank you for all of the lovely things that you do, so many people are blessed by your kindness!
Dawn, Thank you so much for the very warm welcome. It's truly appreciated. I love your quilts! They are so beautiful! Great work! I will get mine posted soon! In reading your blog I am so sorry about your sister. {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}} I am blessed because my Mom is a breast cancer survivor and the one that taught me to quilt. Thanks for being my first friendly face! ;-)
hi dawn, you asked how my compassionate cakes project is going ~ thank you, wanted to give you an update~ it is going very well, i still have a long way to go, but i am making them one or 2 at a time in my own kitchen with one oven, the kids are helping me and helping me deliver them, which is great!
The satisfaction and thrill of giving the cakes is unbelievable! People are truly amazed and love receiving a whole cake baked for them. They are not hard to make, I am using box mixes and icing, for the cost of 100 cakes, I can't afford to make them "from scratch" or all of the extra time! WOW.....I may be crazy, but not that crazy! ha! The give is such a wonderful give to people, they are so surprised and I also give them a "tag" with the story of how I entered the Kindness contest and won and how they need to share the cakes with neighbors....Its been a blessing...thanks again for asking! Take care!
Thanks Dawn, I hear you on the selfish dialog stuff (when you aren't being selfish). I really don't know where it comes from anymore but with so much giving and receiving, maybe it becomes a thing of the past! at least I hope.
